Aldeburgh's own Sir Humphrey has written his memoirs which are due to be published at the end of May.
Humphrey will be hosting a short screening at the Aldeburgh Cinema at 11 am on Saturday 12th June. He will be introducing scenes from his TV work, including clips from The Great Gondola Race, from Aquarius, the Verdi Requiem with Bernstein, live from St Paul’s, and John Schlesinger’s satire on the recording industry Hi-fi-fo-fum, first shown in Monitor in 1959. There will be a book signing session after the screening.
The event is free, but due to Covid restrictions attendance at this event will need to be pre-registered, so email us if you would like to attend.
